Empowering Veterans at Roush

When people find out I’m a Vet, it’s usually followed by: “thanks for your service.” In my case, though, that service continues at Roush. My time in the military became part of my DNA.

Today, I recruit Veterans into a company that values their service and their talents. Part of my role is to connect Vets as they look to transition to a civilian career. I personally match their skill sets with the needs at Roush.

Many already know Roush thanks to our work on F-150s, Mustangs and, of course, NASCAR, but, may not know that our founder and leader, Jack Roush, values Veterans. Veterans are quick learners, problem solvers, goal oriented and loyal. Hiring veterans enhances our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion which in turn strengthens the company’s culture.

I like to say I put the “human” in human resources. Now go do great things… As you were.

We have Veterans in every department at Roush and I try to make sure they feel welcome and understand Roush cares about them and their careers.
